Riverside Kingsmen Band & Guard

The Riverside Kingsmen Band and Color Guard program is a true musical powerhouse in southern California. The band has received numerous sweepstakes awards for both their parade and field show prowess as well as countless "Superior" ratings at regional concert festivals. Additionally, with strong ties to the Disney program, the band has been invited to play at Disneyland numerous times and has come to be known as the on-call band for Disney.

On January 1, 2007 the Riverside Kingsmen performed in the 118th annual Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA. Their performance was seen live by over a million people and live on television by millions more from all over th world. That year, the only two bands that performed, with no interruption, for the entire 5.5 mile parade were the Marine Corps band and the Riverside Kingsmen.

Another noteable performance occured during the winter of 2007-2008 when the Riverside Kingsmen traveled to Phoenix, AZ to compete in the Fiesta Bowl Parade and National Band Championship. With daytime temperatures plummetting, the members of the progam tirelessly practiced for days leading up the event in order to leave with a Sweepstakes award for their parade performance. More recently, the Riverside Kingsmen played a part in the 2010 Gary Marshall film, Valentines Day.

The Riverside Kingsmen have become musical ambassadors to the world with their recent performance in London. After touring portions of the country, the Kingsmen performed in the annual London New Year's Parade alongside the Riverside Community College Marching Tigers.
